A Little Winter Warmer from Us

So nearly a week gone in January. The Christmas tree’s are down and Hogmany’s hangover’s has finally started to fade away. January can often be a long cold month with getting back into the swing of work and dreading your bank statement coming through the door……But January doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom, Your taste bud’s still know how to shoot that feeling of pure indulgence to your brain. So treat yourself and try this simply but delicious recipe.

Chocolate orange twist

Perfect for warming you up as you settle on the sofa to watch Eastenders                 Hot chocolate close up on the white

Ingredients

  • Cadbury’s drinking chocolate powder
  • 1 mug of milk
  • Cointreau or triple sec
  • Hazelnut syrup
  • Whipped cream (Scooshy)

One of the reasons I love this drink so much is that its so simple to make. First you heat up your milk in a pan (don’t let it boil), add one heaped teaspoon of Cadburys chocolate powder to the milk and stir. Once it is at a temperature you are happy with add 1 teaspoon of hazelnut syrup and one shot of Cointreau or triple sec (not both, unless your having one of those days). Once your happy that all ingredients are in and its nice and hot, pour it into a nice big mug. Top it with scooshy cream and if you want to be extra exciting you could fine grate some chocolate over the top to finish it of. …..Delicious!

Now sit back and see if today is the day you find out who killed Lucy Beal 🙂
